The Local Police have taken a package with 38.2 kilos of hashish from the sea that was floating in the Punta del Camello area in the capital of Lanzarote. It was a neighbor who was walking along the avenue who spotted it and notified the authorities.
Local Police agents and the Emergency Consortium have traveled to the scene, although firefighters have not had to intervene in the end.
The agents have proceeded to take it out of the sea, for which they had to request help from the Nautical Sports Center since the weather conditions and the strong swell made its recovery difficult.
After proceeding to transfer it to the police station and verifying that inside there were 38.2 kilograms of a substance that appeared to be hashish,
they have proceeded to initiate the appropriate procedures. They have transferred it to the National Police so that they can carry out the necessary procedures to send it to the corresponding investigating court, from where the analysis of the content will be ordered.
