The Local Police of Arrecife has proceeded to arrest a man, born in Gran Canaria and resident in Lanzarote, for violating a restraining order against his victim, who had suffered an assault.

The victim, born in Lanzarote and resident in the Titerroy neighborhood, had requested the police presence from Emergencies. The agents of the Local Police of Arrecife, on duty in the area, were activated from the Control Center of the capital's Local Police.

The report, initiated in the past days of November, reflects that the Local Police was able to determine that the detainee, nephew of the victim, was at a distance of less than 100 meters from his uncle, when the order established that he could not approach less than 500 meters. When asked and before the arrest, he acknowledged that he was violating the restraining order determined by the Court of Instruction Number 4 of Arrecife, according to a statement from the City Council.

After what happened, the agents of the Local Police, and by virtue of the fact that these events are of a criminal nature, proceeded to the arrest.

The police report details that the requester provided the agents with the Judicial Order of Protection, for a physical assault, and that, when detecting the aggressor in the vicinity of his residence, out of fear, he requested the police presence by calling Emergencies. The Local Police activated assistance from the Control Center in the central building of the Local Police Corps in the capital of Lanzarote.
