The Local Police arrested this Thursday a 47-year-old man for physically and psychologically assaulting his partner in a house in Arrecife. The events took place around twelve o'clock at night at the couple's home in the capital's neighborhood of Valterra.
The agents went to the house after the victim's call to 1-1-2 asking for help. According to police sources, the 38-year-old woman "couldn't take it anymore", given that the vexations to which she was subjected "were continuous", she confessed to the Police.
In addition, at that same moment, she acknowledged that on Wednesday "she had been assaulted" by her partner. After the assault, she went "on her own means to the health center", revealed the victim.
Finally, the man was arrested by agents of the Citizen Attention Operational Group for a crime of gender violence.
