The Civil Guard has confirmed the discovery of the lifeless body of one of the immigrants who arrived on the boat that arrived this Tuesday night on the coast of Tinajo and who, according to the account of the rest of the occupants, fell into the water before the boat reached the coast.
The Red Cross had already indicated that presumably twelve people were on the boat, with one of the immigrants missing, who was finally found dead at around 8:15 a.m. about 100 meters from the place where the rest of the immigrants were located, in a wave breaking area.
It was shortly after midnight when the Civil Guard located eleven immigrants, who told the agents that another person was traveling on the boat who had previously fallen into the water and that they did not find him. Thus, the Benemérita began to search for him in the vicinity, while different emergency resources were activated such as a Maritime Rescue boat and another from the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, in addition to the Maritime Rescue helicopter, different land units of the Civil Guard and Local Police of Tinajo.
The body, which according to its documentation corresponds to a citizen of Morocco, did not present serious apparent physical injuries, and the removal of the body was carried out at approximately 9:45 a.m. According to the Civil Guard, it has been transferred to the Arrecife Forensic Anatomy, where the corresponding autopsy will be performed to determine the exact causes of death.
It must be remembered that in the vicinity of the place where the boat arrived, in the Caleta del Mariscadero, the Civil Guard also found two bundles of hashish of 12 kilos each hidden behind some rocks, which it is not ruled out that they came in the boat.
