Firefighters rescued this Monday the lifeless body of a young man who had fallen on the rocks along the promenade between Arrecife and El Cable. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m., when firefighters were alerted by the National Police.
Once at the scene, they confirmed that it was a deceased young man, who was on the coastal rocks, "covered by a blanket." The deceased was guarded by the National Police and the Legal Authority.
According to explanations from the Consortium, as it was a "very slippery" area, there was a risk in recovering the body, so they had to coordinate and analyze the terrain before taking it out on a stretcher. Afterwards, the judicial authority proceeded to remove the body and it was transferred to the funeral home vehicle.
The National Police is investigating the events and the reasons for the fall, and the forensic doctor will determine the causes of death.
