The driver of the car that crashed into the glass of the Overcame facade this Tuesday tested positive for alcohol and drugs. The 25-year-old was escaping from a traffic Civil Guard checkpoint, located in the Güime roundabout, in the municipality of San Bartolomé, as La Voz has learned.

The man who was trying to escape from the Benemérita picked up great speed and ended up crashing into the glass of the premises. There were three people traveling in the car, the driver, his partner and the co-pilot. The crash destroyed the dealership's window and even damaged a car that was on display inside the premises.

A broken tooth and a split lip

The three occupants suffered some minor injuries as a result of the incident. According to information from emergency personnel, the couple only suffered minor scratches. It was the other occupant who got the worst of it, breaking a tooth and splitting his lip during the collision with the window.
