The Civil Guard seized 432 marijuana plants in the garage of a cannabis club in Arrecife

The operation, which La Voz had already reported, finally resulted in three people being investigated and the seizure of 60 kilograms of marijuana prepared for consumption, among other effects and substances.

The operation carried out by the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé in a garage in Arrecife belonging to a cannabis association that La Voz reported on two weeks ago finally resulted in three people being investigated and the seizure of a total of 432 marijuana plants and 60 kilograms of said drug prepared for consumption, according to the Benemérita.

The investigated respond to the initials D.M.L., A.J.B. and F.E.C. and are between 53 and 37 years of age, and are accused of being the alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, specifically for the cultivation and production of toxic drugs, narcotics or psychotropic substances, because in the facilities of their association they had cultivated some 432 marijuana plants in different states of growth and 60 kilograms of it

The events took place on the 14th when Civil Guard agents were working on a crime against property - misappropriation - that a reform company had suffered allegedly by one of its workers who had been left without permission several tools. In this way, the investigation into the aforementioned crime led the agents to a garage in Arrecife, part of the headquarters of a cannabis association, where, however, they located the marijuana plantation.

Authorized by the owners to access the interior of the garage, the agents detected the presence of about 27 kilograms of marijuana and numerous indications of the existence of a large plantation, so the facts were immediately communicated to the Judicial Authority, while an entry and search authorization was requested to access the different dependencies of the site.

Once the judicial authorization was obtained, the Civil Guard arranged an operation in which more agents participated, finally seizing numerous effects necessary for the cultivation, processing and production of drugs such as lamps, extractors, pots, electrical supplies, irrigation, about 1,500 cannabis sativa seeds, homemade presses, precision scales, in addition to documentation and 432 marijuana plants, 60 kilograms of marijuana ready for consumption, half a kilogram of hashish and another of marijuana pollen, as well as a hundred bottles of hashish oil.

According to the Civil Guard, said plantation was organized in such a way that there were several rooms equipped for the different stages of the drug production process: germination room, flowering room and drying room, in addition to observing a kitchen where different drugs were made from the marijuana flowers obtained: oils, creams, capsules, hashish, etc.

In view of all the actions taken, the Benemérita proceeded to the formal investigation, in the presence of a lawyer, of three people related to said cultivation, who respond to the initials of D.M.L., A.J.B. and F.E.C. as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, specifically specified in article 368 of the Penal Code.

The investigated, the narcotic substances and the other seized objects, have been made available to the corresponding Arrecife duty court.
