The Civil Guard arrested a 41-year-old man last Sunday for allegedly stabbing another, both of Spanish nationality, in a bar in the northern town of Charco del Palo.
According to La Voz, at midnight from Saturday to Sunday, a fight broke out between two men and one of them attacked the other with a knife. After the attack, the perpetrator fled.
Witnesses to the stabbing called Emergencies and the Civil Guard. When the agents of the Benemérita arrived, the victim was being attended by the sanitary personnel. After being stabilized, he was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
The agents gathered the information given by the witnesses and the description of the alleged perpetrator. With this, the next day in the afternoon, he was located and arrested by the Civil Guard.
The detainee was brought to justice this Tuesday in the Court of Instruction number 4 of Arrecife, accused of a crime of attempted homicide.
