The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal, in collaboration with the Air Service of the Civil Guard and with agents of the Local Police of Pájara have arrested a 48-year-old person, who was fleeing from justice after his escape from the Tahiche Penitentiary Center on February 5, when he was giving a talk at the Costa Teguise institute together with two other prisoners and accompanied by a lawyer and a social worker from the penitentiary center and who, taking advantage of a distraction from them, jumped the fence of the educational center.
The Civil Guard initiated an investigation in order to monitor and track the fugitive, based on the principle of police collaboration, the fugitive could be located on the island of Fuerteventura. Although initially the police investigations placed him in the municipality of Tuineje, this fugitive is a very elusive person who could be located, among other places, in the Valley of La Lajita where he would be fleeing towards the Guerepe Ravine.
Immediately the Civil Guard deployed a device with 12 Citizen Security agents, a patrol of the Local Police of Pájara supported by the indications of the Air Unit of the Civil Guard with 3 components in the place where this fugitive would have continued the escape, returning again towards the Valley of La Lajita.
It so happens that the search efforts were hampered due to the orography of the place, with numerous hollows and large stones that hindered the movements of the police deployment, however, this was spotted by the air service hidden among the bushes of the area, without a shirt to hinder its location.
As a result of the police action, he was finally intercepted in an animal pen, when he was hidden under an old wooden trailer, wrapped in plastic bags and black tarpaulins, where he was immediately arrested and subsequently transferred to the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Morro Jable for the instruction of the corresponding proceedings that will be delivered together with the detainee in the corresponding duty court of Puerto del Rosario to enforce his order of entry into prison.
