The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise arrested on September 23 a person with the initials S.L., 34 years old and of foreign nationality, as alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, by forcibly snatching a woman's purse.
The robbery occurred around 06:00 hours on September 21 in the vicinity of a shopping center in Costa Teguise, when the victims were leaving a bar. At that moment, the detainee allegedly approached them, after being hidden in a palm tree, and tried to take the purse from one of them, but failed. After that, he attacked the other girl and with a strong pull, he stole her purse after breaking the handles.
Based on the physical description provided by the two victims and after the relevant police investigations, the agents of the Investigation Area arrested, two days later, the alleged perpetrator of the events, who has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court in charge of Arrecife.
