The firefighters of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium found this Wednesday the body of a man who had been "dead for several days" inside an apartment in Puerto del Carmen. The first investigations by the Judicial Police rule out "indications of criminality and violent death", according to sources from the Civil Guard.

The firefighters received an alert around 1:00 p.m. from the Local Police of Tías, in which they were required to open a house on Bélgica street because a person had not answered for a while.

When the firefighters accessed this house, located in the San Fermín apartments in Puerto del Carmen, they found a 77-year-old foreign man, who had been dead for "several days". "We found him in an area of the house that is on the way from the kitchen to the bathroom and we realized that he had been dead for a few days," explained the manager of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, Enrique Espinosa.

The most likely thing is that this man died of natural causes, according to these sources. The events were brought to the attention of the Civil Guard, which has already ruled out a violent death. However, we are waiting for the result of the autopsy.
