The lifeless body of a man of about 50 years old has been found this Tuesday in an apartment on Acacia street in Costa Teguise, where he had apparently died "several days" ago. This has been certified by the doctor who has come to the address, after the Local Police and firefighters found the corpse.
It was the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security who alerted the firefighters, after their presence was required by the Local Police. In the notice, it was indicated that there was a closed house and that "possibly" there was a person inside.
As explained by the Lanzarote Security Consortium, from the bedroom window they could see the body of a person in the bed, so they accessed the interior through that same window. Afterwards, they opened the main door and the doctor was able to enter the house, "confirming the death of several days".
Afterwards, the Local Police stayed guarding the body until the judicial authority authorized the removal of the corpse. According to the Consortium, the deceased was a foreigner and did not reside on the island.
