The Lanzarote emergency services found the body of a man "who had been drowned for several days" on Las Cucharas beach in Costa Teguise this Saturday afternoon. According to reports from the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium, "we moved to the place, verifying that it was a drowned man who had been adrift for several days and was dragged to the shore with a wave." All indications are that it could be the German swimmer who disappeared days ago in the El Charco del Palo area in Mala.
The firefighters have covered the body with tarpaulins and it is later transferred with the help of the spinal board to an area guarded by the Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard until the arrival of the Funeral Home. Later the firefighters helped transfer the body to the funeral home vehicle for transfer to its facilities.
