The boat that arrived on Sunday morning also carried a hundred kilos of hashish. According to La Voz, it was some residents of the area who alerted the Local Police to the presence of the boat on the beach of the municipality of Teguise. Once the agents of the Local Police of Teguise arrived at the place, they found that five of the thirteen immigrants were trying to hide drugs in the sand. The agents have arrested these five people and have found a hundred kilos of hashish. The Civil Guard has also moved to the town to take charge of the case.

According to the Civil Guard, "14 people of Maghreb origin have been located, 13 adult males and one woman who said she was a minor. Also in the same sand of the beach and near the place where the boat was found, the agents found several plastic drums buried in the sand with approximately 120 kilograms of hashish."

The fourteen immigrants, one of them a woman, are in perfect health and have also been cared for by the volunteers of the Red Cross. According to Alicia Martín told La Voz, "they are all in good health." He added that the "girl has assured that she is a minor, so she will have a bone study to confirm it."
