The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) in Las Palmas, has reported "a new attack on a patrol of agents, this time in Tinajo." According to the Association, "on the morning of this Saturday, around 07:00 hours, a couple of Civil Guards from the Main Post of San Bartolomé de Lanzarote, were attacked in the area of La Santa, in the municipality of Tinajo, where they had gone after a call reporting a fight in the street."
"Once at the scene, they observed how in a garage there was a "party and in the street some young people were fighting who, upon seeing the Civil Guard, attacked them with blows, hitting them in the face and all over the body, even breaking the nose of one of the agents," they explain.
Finally, they state that "from AUGC, we trust that the full weight of the law will fall on the perpetrators of this brutal aggression against two Civil Guard workers, who unfortunately, continue to be the worst paid Spanish public security workers, those who have the worst material resources, who lack a decent working day and without work shifts and who are the ones with the least rights."
