The search for the young man who disappeared on Famara beach will resume this Monday, November 3, at 8:00 a.m. The Salvamar, a rescue vessel, will be the first to set out to sea to try to locate the 28-year-old man, of Indian nationality, who was dragged by a strong current on Sunday, November 2. In the early hours of the morning, the HELIMER rescue helicopter and the Civil Guard patrol boat will also join, as well as personnel from Emerlan, in a joint effort to find his whereabouts.

The tragic event took place on Sunday afternoon, when three bathers, including the missing man, were caught off guard by the waves in the El Papelillo area. While one of them, a 49-year-old German citizen, managed to get out of the water on his own, the 37-year-old Romanian man was found dead on the beach after being rescued by lifeguards, who were unable to revive him.
