A moment of tension was experienced on the afternoon of this Wednesday, March 18, at a gas station in Arrecife, when a vehicle began to burn while it was refueling.
The incident occurred around 19:01 hours at the service station Gasolinera Shell. According to the alerts received, the car caught fire in the middle of the supply area, which generated moments of great concern among those present.
Upon the arrival of the first alerts, the callers indicated that the flames were no longer visible, although a significant amount of smoke persisted in the surroundings.
Firefighters, local police, National Police, and Civil Protection personnel moved to the scene. The Arrecife Firefighters confirmed shortly after that the fire had been completely extinguished, thus preventing greater damage in an especially sensitive area due to the presence of fuel.
