Red Cross carried out more than twenty interventions in Arrecife during the rains that fell last Sunday and Monday, collaborating with the Security and Emergency Consortium in the most affected areas and helping the population to bail out water and place sandbags where necessary.

Since Sunday morning, the Red Cross activated a rain alert group, which also served as support for the intervention of the Emergency Immediate Response Team (ERIE AHI) before the arrival of the boat that arrived at Charco del Palo, acting with two intervention and logistics cars and two ambulances, one for basic life support and another for advanced life support.

In the early morning, said group was activated again and the devices managed by the Red Cross for shelters were left on alert, with a basic life support ambulance for security and prevention. The Red Cross reactivated the operation on Monday, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., as support for the Security and Emergency Consortium. This operation consisted of two logistical support vehicles, a rescue support vehicle, two ambulances and around 15 volunteers, including several technicians.

In total, the Red Cross carried out 26 interventions between Sunday and Monday, 14 on the first day and twelve on the second. In addition, this Wednesday it maintains a team on alert again due to the yellow warning for rain activated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
