The Epidemiological Surveillance Unit of the General Directorate of Public Health of the SCS was informed, through the Inspection of the Lanzarote area and the declaration of several doctors from the Valterra Health Center of several cases of gastroenteritis, some of which would have occurred in the context of the celebration of a birthday the previous weekend.

Clinical samples have been collected for culture.

The affected people are still being interviewed, as well as people exposed to multiple foods from that establishment who have not developed symptoms.

Likewise, Public Health inspectors have visited the catering establishment to carry out the corresponding inspection and collect suspicious food for further analysis.
