The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise has identified two people as alleged perpetrators of the robberies suffered in Los Valles in the early morning of August 5. One of the detainees is a man under investigation for a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation, two crimes of robbery with force, a minor crime of theft and another of breach of sentence. This last crime occurs precisely for violating a restraining order from his ex-partner, who is the other person investigated for a robbery with force and another minor crime of theft. Both were brought to judicial disposition and in the case of the man, his entry into provisional prison was decreed.
There were several complaints from residents of Los Valles who claimed that they had accessed their homes in the early morning by forcing windows or by climbing, stealing several valuables. In total, the value of the stolen objects amounts up to 6,000 euros.
In addition, in one of those homes the alleged perpetrator was surprised by one of the residents, who claims that he was threatened if he did not hand over all the money he possessed. Once the robbery was over, he fled in a vehicle that was key to his identification.
The alleged perpetrator had rented a vacation home in Los Valles
The investigations, which focused on the identification of the subject, bore fruit and discovered that he was staying in a vacation home in Los Valles, where the agents went and found indications that he was living with his ex-partner, from whom he had a restraining order.
Once the gender violence teams were alerted, the agents interrogated the woman, who admitted to living with him despite the existence of that order. In addition, she acknowledged that the man had fled the house, and handed over several objects that were identified by the investigators as the result of the robberies. Immediately afterwards, the Civil Guard decreed that she would be investigated for her alleged participation in one of the robberies with force and another of theft, in addition to initiating the search for her ex-partner, which ended on August 8.
The Civil Guard recovered almost all of the stolen objects, such as a laptop, a tablet, two electronic books, headphones, an oven and household items and personal objects, valued at about 6,000 euros.
