The National Police in Arrecife arrested three young people in July and August as alleged perpetrators of several robberies with violence committed in different areas of the capital of Lanzarote.

The victims were mainly elderly people or people in vulnerable situations, whom they approached aggressively to steal their belongings.

The events occurred between July 6 and 8, a period in which four robberies were recorded. The investigation, supported by video surveillance cameras and the testimonies of those affected, made it possible to identify and locate the suspects, despite the fact that they had no fixed address.

After being brought to justice, two of the detainees were placed in pre-trial detention, while the investigation remains open without ruling out new arrests.
