The National Police deployed an extensive security device during the San Ginés Festivities with the aim of guaranteeing citizen coexistence and the normal development of festive events. The operation, planned in advance and in close coordination with the Arrecife Local Police, Civil Protection and other entities, resulted in a positive balance: safe celebrations, a calm environment and outstanding citizen participation.

Throughout the eleven days of festivities, the police device focused its action on the main areas of concentration, such as Playa del Reducto, Parque José Ramírez Cerdá, Avenida de Vargas and Plaza del Almacén. The deployment included preventive interventions, controls and specific actions against uncivil conduct.

Among the most outstanding results are several arrests for various crimes, more than 300 identifications, as well as more than one hundred reports raised regarding drugs and dangerous objects. These actions were part of a comprehensive device in which specialized units of the National Police intervened, such as the Citizen Attention Groups (GAC), the Operational Response Group (GOR), the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), Judicial Police and Information.

The general balance confirms that the San Ginés Festivities took place in a climate of normality and security, which allowed citizens to enjoy the scheduled events with peace of mind. The success of the device was possible thanks to prior planning and the responsible attitude of the attendees.

The Island Director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote, Pedro Viera, highlighted the "effective work of the agents of the National Police and the collaboration of the different security and emergency bodies, which have allowed the events to take place in total security." Likewise, he thanked "the responsible behavior of the citizens, which has been fundamental to enjoying safe and participatory celebrations."

With this device, the National Police reaffirms its commitment to the protection of the residents and visitors of Arrecife, guaranteeing that the patron saint festivities take place in a climate of coexistence and collective enjoyment.
