In the early morning of December 10, at 04:20 hours, an alert was received from CECOES reporting a fire on Miguel Delibes Street, in Arrecife. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency teams found that the fire affected four vehicles. One of which was burning completely, while the other two were burning in the part closest to it. In addition, the fourth vehicle parked on the opposite sidewalk was also affected by the heat.
The firefighters proceeded to extinguish the fire using water and foam initially, and then continued with foam only until total extinction. The operation was delayed due to a fuel leak in the tank of one of the vehicles.
Agents of the National Police and the Local Police were also at the scene, who controlled traffic and tried to locate the owners of the affected vehicles.
