According to the merchant, in the early hours of this Thursday, apparently the same individuals who have been captured on previous occasions by security cameras, broke into the outside of her premises again. On this occasion, they did not take the vending machine, but destroyed it to steal the cash it contained, although there was nothing.
These robberies have been happening "for more than a year", the woman says. The Civil Guard has appeared at the scene on several occasions and, according to the woman, "the perpetrators have been arrested several times but they are released." "The vending machine company is thinking of reporting it," she reveals.
In addition, "they have also robbed tourists on the beach and elderly people who have had their bags stolen," she says. Another aspect that the businesswoman complains about is "the poor lighting in this area of Costa Teguise, especially on the promenade that runs through the Hotel Salinas, it is a disgrace how the town is... it cannot be that one is afraid to walk at seven in the afternoon," she says.
