Arrecife suffered on Sunday night several container fires in different streets of the city, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
Firefighters went to extinguish one of the fires in Guatemala Street at about 11.50 pm where a cardboard container was engulfed in flames. The troops extinguished it with water and foam to immediately go to another fire.
The troops arrived at the other container that was also being engulfed in flames in Nicaragua Street at about 00.30 am. In this case, the container that was burning was of organic waste, so the firefighters extinguished it with water and foam.
As they finished this service, the troops received another notice of another fire in another container in Castillo de Las Coloradas Street. The flames were affecting a cardboard recycling container and the firefighters proceeded to extinguish them.
In addition, according to other witnesses who have contacted La Voz, in Otilia Díaz Street in the capital another container burned at about 01.10 am.
