New Civil Guard operation against organized crime in Arrecife

Agents of the Civil Guard have carried out a new police operation in Arrecife this Wednesday. As La Voz has learned, since dawn a large deployment of agents, around fifty from Tenerife and Aragon, intervened in different streets of the capital and in the surroundings of the Gran Hotel, as well as in other points of the island. 

Sources from the Benemérita have revealed that it is an operation against organized crime, whose actions are under seal.

According to witnesses, at the roundabout of the hotel establishment, around 7:00 in the morning, up to three vehicles were immobilized. The cars were placed on the side of the road, with the license plates covered with cardboard and with a seal with the name of the Benemérita. 

As revealed by the newspaper Canarias7, at least a dozen searches have been carried out in different properties in Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Arrecife. In addition, several arrests for alleged drug trafficking and human trafficking offences.
