A minor was injured this Saturday in the municipality of Tías after falling from a height of approximately five meters, which activated a large emergency response by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2.
The on-duty crews from Civil Protection of Tías and the Rescue Unit, along with an ambulance from the SUC, were dispatched to the scene. They collaborated with the Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote in assisting the minor, who presented a deformity in his right arm. Healthcare professionals proceeded to immobilize the limb with a vacuum splint before his medical transfer to the Molina Orosa hospital
During the same incident, a 67-year-old woman who was in the establishment suffered a fall from a different level, with a possible rib fracture and injuries to her left lower limb
The Civil Protection teams of Tías, SUC, Guardia Civil, and Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote collaborated in the care and transfer of both patients.
