A 55-year-old man has been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital in moderate condition after suffering a near-drowning in the sea in Playa Honda.

At approximately 11:29 a.m., the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a swimmer with symptoms of drowning had been rescued from the sea, immediately activating the necessary emergency resources.

Thus, a medical ambulance from the SUC, the Red Cross, Civil Protection, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police were dispatched to the area. SUC personnel assessed and assisted the affected individual, who, once stabilized, was transferred to the hospital in a medical ambulance.

The emergency resources dispatched to the area collaborated in resolving the incident.
