Man rescued from the sea about to drown on a beach in Lanzarote

The affected person has been evacuated by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital

A 65-year-old man has been rescued from the sea with signs of drowning in Playa Blanca, as reported by CECOES. The incident took place at around 12 noon this Wednesday at Playa Dorada in Playa Blanca.

Once CECOES was alerted, local police officers, two ambulances, one medicalized and the other with basic life support, from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene.

The affected person has been treated by a doctor who was in the area, assistance that has continued by the sanitary personnel who, after stabilizing him, proceeded to transfer him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

The Local Police has taken charge of the proceedings.
