A 54-year-old man has died by drowning after falling into the sea in an area between Los Charcones and Faro de Pechiguera. The incident occurred at approximately 08:42 this Sunday.
After being alerted by CECOES, agents from the Local Police, Civil Guard, a medicalized ambulance from the SUC, and the Consortium of Security, Emergencies, Rescue, Prevention, and Extinction of Fires of Lanzarote were dispatched.
Firefighters located the affected individual and rescued his body, taking him to Montaña Roja Beach. There, SUC personnel were waiting and certified his death.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authority. The Local Police collaborated with the emergency services.
