A van was affected this Monday by a fire when it was traveling on the LZ-20 road, at the height of the San Bartolomé Karting facilities. The event occurred around 5:18 PM and resulted in no personal injuries, as the occupants managed to leave the vehicle in time and were in good condition upon the arrival of the emergency services.

According to the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergency Consortium, the personnel deployed from the Central Park confirmed that the fire mainly affected the engine area and part of the van's cabin.

Firefighters proceeded to extinguish the flames using water, preventing the fire from spreading to the rest of the vehicle or generating greater risks for traffic on the road.

Civil Guard agents also traveled to the scene, where they were responsible for regulating traffic and preparing the corresponding report.

During the vehicle removal operations by a tow truck, a small re-ignition occurred, so the personnel had to intervene again to completely extinguish the fire and cool down one of the affected wheels.
