The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium has reported a rescue operation carried out this Thursday morning, June 20, in the area known as Las Grietas, in the municipality of Tías. The operation was carried out after an alert received through Cecoes 1-1-2, which reported a person injured on a difficult access trail.

According to the information provided, the Central Park troops, together with the Bravo 5 and Romeo 1 units, went to the place and collaborated with the health services of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), which were already attending to the affected person. A hand was immobilized with a splint before starting the evacuation.

The rescue required the placement of several stakes, two ropes and a harness to secure the injured person and facilitate their extraction to the outside of the route. Once outside the difficult access area, the hiker was accompanied to the ambulance on his own feet.

Once the intervention was completed, the teams collected the material and returned to base, after communicating the closure of the service to both Cecoes and the operations center.
