Francisco Ortega Reguilón, who until five months ago was the economic and financial director of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, passed away this Tuesday, December 31. He died in Tenerife at the age of 54 after suffering a long illness.
From August 2006 until this past summer, Ortega held the position of financial director at the Tourist Centers.
His environment defines him as "a gentleman, a very honest and humble person." The time at which the wake will be held is not yet defined.
Recently his father also passed away, the historic socialist from Lanzarote, Domingo Ortega, at the age of 85. Domingo Ortega was for decades director of the Caja de Canarias in Lanzarote, parliamentarian, councilor in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, councilor in the Arrecife City Council and councilor of the Lanzarote Water Consortium.
The wake will be on Thursday, January 2, starting at 11:30 in the morning at the Enalta funeral home in Arrecife.
