National Police agents have arrested at the Lanzarote airport two men, aged 40 and 45 years old, a third one under 17 and a 20 year old woman, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of document falsification.
The events unfolded after the staff of an airline warned the police officers at the César Manrique- Lanzarote airport that several people were trying to board a flight to London showing apparently manipulated documents.
The police officers then identified two men, a third one under 17 years of age and a woman, and were able to verify that the documents exhibited by them, of French nationality, were false and lacked the required security measures, for which reason they were arrested by the agents.
The events were brought to the attention of the Minors Section of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Las Palmas. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the arrested adults were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
