The Local Police of Arrecife arrested last Sunday four minors, aged between 16 and 17 years old, for an alleged robbery with violence and intimidation at the Arrecife Bus Station.
According to the Local Police, the events occurred at around 07:50 hours, when they received a call from a woman reporting that she had been approached by four minors at the Arrecife Bus Station. The perpetrators intimidated her by putting scissors to her neck, and managed to snatch her belongings.
Based on the description of the individuals, provided by both the victim and the security guard of the Bus Station itself, the agents established a search device throughout the municipality. Minutes later, the agents managed to locate them and, after a chase in which one of the policemen was injured, arrested the four minors.
After the capture of the perpetrators, the police were able to recover the effects stolen from the victim, the scissors with which the criminal act was allegedly committed, as well as other effects belonging to third parties. At this time, the Local Police is investigating whether the minors "are also involved in other crimes against property."
Finally, from the Local Police they affirm that on some of the young detainees "there was a complaint for being fugitives for several days from a Minors Center on the island."
