The events occurred on Tuesday night, when the flight crew alerted the control tower half an hour after takeoff that they needed to return to the origin airport and requested the presence of the police on the runway due to a fight on board between about ten passengers.
The commander made this decision due to the danger posed by these types of incidents in mid-flight.
After that, from the control tower, they expedited their return to the Tenerife aerodrome as much as possible while coordinating the police presence on the runway. Finally, the plane landed without incident on runway 07.
