The Emergency Consortium has had to intervene again in the Las Salinas de Arrecife mill. It was on Wednesday, March 31 when they acted for the first time after a citizen's complaint.
Four days later and alerted by the Cecoes they returned and verified that the blades were about to fall to the road with the consequent danger for pedestrians.
After marking the area, the firefighters inspected the rotating system of the mill and the state in which it is located, taking photographs to later attach them to the report.
Later they stopped the mill and with the help of a radial grinder they removed one of the blades that was in danger of coming off.
Finally, they fixed the vane to the rotating system, leaving the mill mobile so that it is positioned according to the prevailing wind and the pressure on the blades is as low as possible.
Finally, the Consortium reports that "the state of the wooden structure of the mill is eaten away and there is a risk of structural failure."
