Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium have rescued a German tourist in the Volcán de La Corona. The events date back to noon this Thursday in Haría, according to reports from the Consortium.
Alerted by the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES), the firefighters moved to the vicinity of the volcano. There they helped the hiker, a 78-year-old tourist who had an open wound on her forehead after suffering a fall.
Once they arrived at the scene, the firefighters collaborated with the health services in an initial assessment and in plugging and bandaging the wound. After that, they transferred the hiker to an ambulance.
