Firefighters rescued a man this Wednesday with a possible hip fracture after falling on top of a mountain near Playa Mujeres in Papagayo. The events took place this Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., when CECOES was alerted.
The health personnel, accompanied by the firefighters, accessed the place where the affected person was with a light vehicle. After a first assessment, the injured person was placed in a vacuum mattress for transfer to the car in a stretcher. Subsequently, the injured person was moved to an ambulance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).
Finally, the ambulance evacuated him to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Local Police officers also went to the area and collaborated with the rescue efforts.
