Firefighters felled a palm tree this Thursday that was at risk of falling in Tías. The events occurred at 8:47 a.m. on the LZ-502 road towards La Asomada, when they were alerted by the Road Service.
When the emergency teams moved to the place, they verified that the palm tree that was located on the public road, was at risk of falling due to the wind, reports the Security and Emergency Consortium.
After its condition was assessed by a technician from the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the firefighters proceeded to cut it down. Afterwards, the remains of the palm tree were removed by the Road Service.
