Firefighters extinguished a palm tree fire on Sunday morning in Costa Teguise, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Around 6:43 a.m., the Local Police alerted the Consortium to the fire of the tree on Bélgica Street in the coastal town.
Emergency personnel extinguished the flames with sprayed and jetted water. Finally, after being extinguished, the firefighters cleared the crown with the help of the boat hook.
Removal of a fallen tree on the road in Playa Quemada
The strong wind on the island knocked down a tree on Saturday night, falling on a road in Playa Quemada. Around 11:30 p.m., the Local Police alerted the Emergency Consortium of the incident.
The firefighters went to the town and verified that the tree was on the road and that it could be a danger that the wind could carry it to nearby cars. The emergency personnel took the tree to a vacant lot with the help of the winch of the vehicle itself.
