The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium managed to put out the fire that broke out this Sunday in the Bosquecillo de Haría area after more than six hours.

Specifically, it was at 3:15 a.m. when the fire, which affected about 20,000 square meters of low pasture areas and trees, was extinguished. For its extinction, the Security and Emergency Consortium deployed 16 personnel to the area and needed three fire engines and 45,000 liters of water.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, has expressed his gratitude to all the personnel who intervened, who were firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, as well as Civil Protection, the Civil Guard, Emerlan and the Local Police.

While the extinction work was taking place, a guard unit with four personnel remained on duty in the central park of the Consortium to attend to any other possible emergency on the island, as happened when a fire broke out in an abandoned house in Tahíche at around one in the morning.
