Firefighters have extinguished the fire in five containers at the Arrecife Commercial dock. According to the Emergency Consortium, they were alerted by the Local Police around 06:00 hours about the fire.
Once at the scene, they verified that several containers where clothes are collected from people arriving in pateras were burning. In addition, the flames have affected the side of one of the booths where migrants are assisted.
Agents from the Local Police, National Police, and Port Authority have been deployed to the scene.
