Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote have smothered this Wednesday morning the remains of the fire in a hotel kitchen on the island. The incident took place at 5.35 am in the Dream Bocayna Playa Blanca hotel establishment, in the tourist town of Yaiza.
Notified of a fire in the hotel kitchen, the firefighters went to the scene. On the way they were informed that the fire was affecting a fryer and that it was already extinguished and only smoke remained.
Once on the scene, they observed that the fryer was still giving off smoke, so they proceeded to remove it from the kitchen. Then, they ventilated the area and let out all the smoke.
