The NGO Emerlan has carried out several actions between Friday and Sunday and, in addition to covering some events on the Island,.
One of them occurred in the area of the Quíquere ravine in Puerto del Carmen. According to reports from Emerlan, they received an alert from CECOES that a boat was adrift without an engine, and that the waves could carry the boat against the rocks. The Emerlan personnel towed the boat to the Puerto del Carmen slipway, without having to regret injuries among the two crew members of the boat.
Another of the events in which Emerlan had to act over the weekend occurred on Saturday on Los Pocillos beach, in Puerto del Carmen. The NGO personnel had to evacuate a man by ambulance who suffered a fainting spell, transferring the affected person to Molina Orosa Hospital.
On the other hand, Emerlan collaborated in the transfer of a tourist who fractured his left arm in La Graciosa. First, they assisted the affected person and took him to the Clinic of the eighth island, and after the doctor's assessment, the tourist was evacuated to Lanzarote to continue receiving medical assistance.
Emerlan was also present at some events in Lanzarote, such as a wrestling match in Tao, the Agrotechnological Fair in the Teguise complex, the Aquathlon in La Santa, the Island Games in Arrecife, the Teguise Market, the CEIP Costa Teguise race, a Sailing regatta in Arrecife and another in Puerto Calero.
