Emergencies searches for a missing foreign citizen in Tinajo

The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium began the search on Monday morning, January 19, for a man, a foreign citizen, who has disappeared in the Las Malvas beach area, in Tinajo.

According to the manager of the Emergency Consortium, Enrique Espinosa, the search was activated on Sunday night, after his family reported him missing to the Civil Guard, and it was reactivated with more emergency services on Monday morning.Throughout the night, the Civil Guard conducted a sweep between the Las Malvas beach area, where the man had left his vehicle, and El Golfo, as the man, around 75 years old, had informed his family that he was going hiking in the area.Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the Civil Guard, Civil Protection, and Maritime Rescue have been mobilized to the scene. Additionally, the Canary Islands Government Emergency Helicopter has also been activated.
