The Civil Guard of the Main Post of San Bartolomé proceeded on February 2 to arrest a man with numerous antecedents, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force in things, after breaking the glass of the access door of a pharmacy and stealing the change machine valued at about 15,000 euros, having inside approximately 5,000 euros in cash in Playa Honda.
The investigation began after presenting on January 7 a complaint in which they explained that they had broken into the pharmacy after breaking the access door and taking from inside a cash register with money inside. This machine was used by customers when making payment.
Start and development of the investigation
In the course of the intense investigations carried out by the agents of the Investigation Area of the Main Post of San Bartolomé, to locate the alleged perpetrator of the robbery, they carried out a meticulous analysis of the frames of the facilities in the areas surrounding the place where the events occurred, those of the pharmacy itself and the new cameras installed by the City Council of San Bartolomé. All the cameras helped the investigation and the clarification of the criminal offense, being able to determine how the offender on January 6 broke the exterior door of the establishment taking the change box and loading it later in the car, to then flee the place, managing with said viewing to identify and subsequent arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the criminal act, being a habitual offender on the island of Lanzarote.
The detainee together with the proceedings carried out were placed at the disposal of the Court in functions of Guard of Arrecife.
