A man was arrested on Thursday night in Famara after causing damage to twelve cars that were parked in the town. It was the residents who called the Local Police of Teguise, seeing how this man began to break the windows of different vehicles.
Upon arriving at the scene, the agents proceeded to arrest him and determined that he may have suffered some type of "psychotic attack." For that reason, they decided to transfer him to the psychiatry unit of the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital, where he was admitted.
The detainee is an agent of the Civil Guard, although from this body they have indicated to La Voz that he had been on leave for some time "for personal reasons." Therefore, he currently did not have his regulation weapon and was withdrawn from work. Now, he is awaiting a psychiatric examination.
