Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished an attempted fire in a house in the town of Playa Honda this Saturday, after being alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2.
The fire originated in an electric water heater in the building. Upon arrival, the team from the Central Park Bravo 5 confirmed that the occupants of the house were already outside and that there were no people inside, which facilitated a quick and safe intervention.
The firefighters proceeded to cut off the electricity supply and extinguish the fire using water. Once the fire was controlled, the house was ventilated with an electric fan to remove smoke and accumulated gases.
Local Police, the Civil Guard and the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) also participated in the action, with whom the intervention was coordinated.
