A man in his 40s was found dead this Thursday afternoon at his home on Filipinas Street 3 in the Altavista neighborhood of the Lanzarote capital. The neighbors in the area were the ones who notified the local police after several days without seeing the man, he had not left the house for days. Apparently, this person was ill and may have been dead for up to a week, according to the neighbors.
Agents of the Local Police, the National Police and firefighters from the Emergency Consortium have traveled to the scene. The firefighters have opened a window of the second-floor house through which the local police entered and verified that the man was inside the house, deceased.
Subsequently, the agents of the National Police took charge of the case.
